Health & Safety Manager
David John Thomas is a highly accomplished Health and Safety Manager with over 20 years of experience in the field. He has a proven track record of implementing and managing robust health and safety policies and procedures across a variety of projects, including demolition, construction, manufacturing, and civils.
David’s expertise includes a wide range of critical safety functions. He is skilled in conducting site inspections and accident investigations, and he excels at creating and implementing Construction Phase Plans (CPP), Job Method Statements (JMS), and comprehensive risk assessments. His experience also extends to handling hazardous materials, ensuring legal compliance with current legislation, and overseeing the implementation of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
Throughout his career, David has demonstrated strong leadership and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety. He is adept at training and mentoring staff, delivering engaging toolbox talks, and providing clear, concise communication to all levels of an organization. His collaborative nature and proactive approach ensure that all projects are completed efficiently and safely, without compromising on quality. As a dedicated and reliable professional, David is focused on delivering key objectives and inspiring teams by leading by example.
Outside of work David is keen Karate enthusiast. He is a 5th Degree Black Belt, and founder of Traditional Shotokan Karate Clubs (TSKC), David dedicates his time to passing on his skills, knowledge and passion of karate on to future generations of karate black belts.

- NEBOSH –Health and Safety in Construction – CDM 2015 / National General Certificate (NGC) Occupational Health
- IOSH Technical Member working towards Chartered membership
- Demolition Manager CCDO (Black Card)
- Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) for Construction & Civil Engineering Industries
- Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM)
- Qualified in Education and Training (PTTLS)
- Metal Health First Aider (MHFA).
- Trained in Substance Abuse monitoring and testing.
- Qualified Appointed Person (BS7121) Cranes and Lifting (LOLER).
- Qualified Instructor – Assessor in First Aid / Assessor in Manual Handling / Assessor in Abrasive Wheels
- HGV Class 1 Driver with 40 years’ experience.
- CPCS licences for the heavy plant.
