Civils Package Works
Darlow Lloyd & Sons delivered the civils package for Woburn Battery Storage site, Milton Keynes, a 12MW/24MWh energy storage plant completing full package of civils based works including the following:
- All ground engineering works
- Installation of RC bases
- All on site drainage works
- All on site ducting works
- Final stoning up of site
- Fencing works
- Installation of 33kv cable route and directional drilling
- Site remediation works
Works on the project started June 2024, and ran until April 2025. Paul Morris was the DLS project manager on the job with a gang of 5 operatives on site throughout the entirety of the project.
The project was a challenging one, with many interesting factors and obstacles met along the way including deep excavations, large main gas line services in the area and a small footprint of a site making working conditions challenging on times. The project was delivered smoothly and to programme as per our clients desires.
We had to liaise with many district network operators (DNO’S) whilst working on site including Cadent Gas & National Grid when planning certain aspects of works on site to ensure the product we were delivering was a success.
