Rhys originally qualified as a Welder before joining the Family Business, initially in the workshops where his role was predominantly plant maintenance, repair and fabrication works.

Rhys’s role has developed, and today he is a Managing Director for Darlow Lloyd & Sons.

Alongside the other Directors responsible for the responsible for its overall performance and strategic direction. Monitor performance indicators and ensure strategic execution.

Rhys predominantly directs the Plant & Mechanical aspects of DLS operations.

Rhys directs and controls operations, resources, and staff by co-ordination of the Senior Management Team to manage over 500 items of Large Plant and Drivers. Rhys manages all aspects of projects over a large diversity of locations and activities.

Rhys is still involved at a level where he oversees day-to-day operations across all departments.
